Challenges and Inspiration...

Funny it is how we treat ourselves,
Little problems we see and life is termed worthless.
Our world is limited to I, me, myself,
Little pain we suffer and cursing life is what we do best.

Smooth climb is what we all desire,
And nothing less than the highest peak we aspire.
But one rough patch and our motivation expires,
Instead of efforts, its good destiny which is much desired.

So engrossed we are in our own little world,
That hardships and sufferings of those around us are gladly ignored.
Never satisfied with what we have,
Envying those who seem higher up the steps.

Do we ever care to look around,
Thank almighty for his blessings abound.
Things which we take for granted so easily,
Ever wondered what about those who lack these basic necessity.

Worried we are about our not so perfect shoe size,
What about those having no limbs to take the strides.
Confused we are with the choice of colors while shopping,
Black has been the only color for some throughout their being.

So whenever you feel you are being left behind,
Or the times when the luck is not by your side.
Take inspiration from those who are struggling even to survive,
Taking challenges head on and moving ahead with a smile.

A Passing Thought.......

Terming it as complicated will be wrong,
But the turmoil in my brain is no less strong.
Weird is the way our mind behaves,
Stranger is how the heart plays.

Craving for things we dont posses,
Ignoring those we already have.
Meaning of relations seem to have changed,
Definition of friendship is no longer the same.

Virtual is more dearer than real,
Meetings in person have become rare.
Comments, likes and followers define personality,
Photos are clicked not for memory but popularity.

Lost somewhere is the essence of life,
Lost is the warmth, affection and spice.
Life is not the same any more,
Its become a rat race but no one knows what we are running for.
