sporting spirit

The ongoing India-Australia test series has once again brought the cricket fans back in action. And in this country where cricket is followed as a religion and each and every step of our cricketers closely scrutinised, its not only the people but the media as well that is in full swing. More often than not, its the media that spice up the cricketing action.Be it the supposed statement given by the soon-to-retire Sourav Ganguly to a Bangla newspaper or the exchange of words between The Wall and The Best IPL batsman, everything is blown out of proportion. And we find all the ex-players and commentators and the so called cricket experts, giving their comments on what should have been done and what shouldn't. But do they realise that it is very easy to sit and comment in the studio and it is not so easy to face the best test team in the world, on the field. I am not a cricketer, but i guess that doesn't make much of a difference because all sportsperson, regardless of what sport they play, echo the same instincts. When we play "victory" is all we want. After losing many say how they are not affected by win or loss, how that particular event was a learning experience and stuff like that. But deep in their hearts they regret losing. Defeat by a player can never be taken with a smile although it may make him more determined to win the next match. To cut it short "nobody plays to witness defeat". Therefore the guests on the shows should think well before speaking because it is very digraceful to question the sportsmanspirit of a player then be it a crickerter ,a footballer or any one else.

Start of a new journey

Today i finally created a blog account for myself. I was thinking to do it for a long time but couldn't put my acts together but i finally managed to do it.
I have so many topics to write about..........starting from my travel to college .........to Insensitive remarks made by a well noted chief minister about the murder of a TV journalist.
But for now I guess this introductory blog is good enough for a new and exciting beginning.
